Spring Whites

Forget the blossoms. Forget the birds. Forget the warm, gentle breezes and the lengthening of each day.
I know that it's spring 'cause the white bass are on the run.

It's about dang time.

Nice! It's almost time for them to start running here on my home water. Last year my son caught one that was about 3 ounces too small for a citation. The little guys are fun to catch though!

I've only fished for white bass once, but it was too fun for words.

If they're running in NC, maybe they are in MS too. I haven't heard any good reports from my local white bass ditch, so maybe I need to get down there and see for myself.

Nice.....I am coming down to visit my brother on the Chowan/Blackwater this weekend. Hope we'll get into something (God knows we'll try!).

I'm just 40 minutes from a great white run river. No boat though. ( Which is pretty ok right now since it probably looks more like chocolate milk than water after all our rain. ) Nice pics! Any hybrids or stripers in the mix there?

Owl, no hybrids or stripers on this particular stretch of water. We head a bit north for those guys.

Jay, Good luck this weekend!!!
