We recently moved into a new house and one of my first orders of business was pulling out the gas logs out of the fireplace to convert back to wood burning. I didn't just cap the gas line however... I installed a gas log lighter which saves on kindling and gets things going a bit easier and faster. By the way, I have that book, and it has always been a favorite because it refers to Smallmouth Bass as "cool water" fish... which is exactly what they are... existing somewhere in between the coldwater trout and their true warmwater cousins.
