Speckled Trout

Sorry. I've offered three down-east fishing trip posts without a fish picture in the lot. We did catch 'em, I promise. This guy wasn't the biggest, by far, but he certainly had the prettiest smile.

And they loved the pink and whites, though olive and grey finished the day nicely.

Great photo and beauty of a fish. Can't go wrong with olive and grey :) Tight Lines.

were you using clousers? Great pic too!

Clousers indeed. Easy to tie. Catch darn near anything. Flies don't get any better.

Very nice. They look like a lot of fun. Man I miss the salt. Glad you had a good outing.

Holy cow, what size hook is that? It looks to be as thick as a pencil....

Nice fish, though! Maybe I'm spending too much time tying and fishing midges lately?

GSF, it's a 1/0, stout saltwater hook. Tie a heavy clouser on one of these, throw it with a 350 grain sinking line in a 20 knot wind, and you'd better be ready to duck.

That reminds me, I have new hole to patch in my rain shell...

Good to see you are getting into the saltwater thing, Mike. Specks are my favorite.
