Rings of Salmon

A full moon rises veiled in winter's arboreal lace
Through thin high clouds, rings of salmon
Swim streams of light to the celestial spawn

Now there's a reference I hadn't considered, but it's a darn good one. Thanks Clif!

I think that was the perfect reference. Well said Clif. Great photo Mike!

Thanks, Austin. The shot was taken in our "back yard" as last Saturday's full moon rose in the east. It was spectacular.

Spectacular Mike. I think I see a couple of loose whiskers over on the bottom right that must have wandered from your stache.

Very nice, Mike.
I dig this form. It's elegant and forces economy of words.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least, Howard. They get everywhere.

I quite agree, Matt, and, as haikus go, this one is far from economical. What I find most interesting is the thought process; finding the juxtaposed parts and managing the pivot in such tight constraints. This, my first try, was way harder than I imagined. Thanks for noticing!
