Sacrifices

“Sounds good, Troy. I’m in. What time do you want to be on the water?”

“Let’s try to get launched about daybreak and see if we can find a morning topwater bite.”

(Quickly doing the counterclockwise math)

Sunrise - 6:00a
Two hour drive from his place to Weldon - 4:00a
He’s thirty minutes from here - 3:30a
Alarm clock setting - 3:00a

(Shit)

“Cool. See you in the morning.”

Fished there yesterday afternoon Mike, good steady action still, Nice class of males have moved in this week, much better action in the afternoons this time of year, during the spawn after a night of sex, these guys are hugging the bottom most of the morning, you could see on the fish TV as the day went on, them moving up the water column, we fished 5 locations and all produced well, drifting just above the little river was very productive too, Hope your well,
Steve

That pretty much mirrored our experience the day before, Steve, including the stretch between The Riviera and Little River. Nice class of males indeed and a slow but steady afternoon bite. Glad to see things didn't slow down. Sorry we missed you.

Awesome pic, gave me a weird feeling when I saw it. Kind of like familiar and envious at the same time.

Summer days are a blessing and a curse, but in the end we love them

Yea, Mike, I used to be able to do that. Up at 3:00 etc. One of many things I used to be able to do. Getting old sure puts a damper on life sometimes.

I had a weird feeling too, Kevin, but I attribute it to the hour.

Nothing better, Kristen. Curse me with a summer day any time. Thanks for stopping by!

I wouldn't kid you, Howard. You know that.

I don't know, Mel. As I get older I find myself waking up at 3:00 pretty often. It's a going problem. :-)
